The Commonwealth Futures Climate Research Project, funded by the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), UK at the Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Studies at TISS, Mumbai, invites applications for the position of Research Assistant for a 6-month engagement.
Job Description
The Research Assistants will be responsible for supporting research activities, managing project operations, and assisting in administrative tasks. Their primary duties will include field data collection, data analysis, and report writing. Additionally, they will facilitate communication and establish connections with key stakeholders, including informal settlement households and experts in the M-ward region of Mumbai. The position requires substantial fieldwork, engaging with various community groups and local stakeholders.
Eligibility Criteria
Master’s degree in relevant field such as Environment Studies/Science, Climate Change and Policy, Urban Planning and Policy, Development Studies
- Desirable – Strong knowledge of resilience and adaptation strategies
- Experience in primary data collection and analysis
- Ability to begin work immediately upon selection
