
The JN Tata Endowment extends financial assistance to Indian students who wish to pursue Postgraduate/Doctoral/Postdoctoral studies overseas. Students who are selected for the loan scholarship may also be recommended for a partial Travel Grant’ and a ‘Gift Award which is linked to their academic performance in their overseas studies, at the sole discretion of the Trustees of the concerned Trusts.

- Scholarship Award: Loan scholarship of upto INR 10 lakhs
- Application Deadline: March 07, 2025
- Applicants shortlisted after a preliminary screening will be invited to take an aptitude test
Eligibility
- Open for Indian citizens under 45 years old as of June 30, 2025
- Graduates of a recognised Indian university with at least 60% marks on average in their undergraduate or postgraduate studies.
- Candidates who have completed at least one undergraduate degree OR those who are in the final year of any undergraduate programme at a recognised university/college/institution in India.
- Candidates admitted to the course recognised as a Graduate Program (postgraduate in Indian terminology).
- Candidates already pursuing postgraduate studies abroad may apply at the end of their first year or the start of the second, provided at least 12 months of study remain at the time of the award (typically in July).
Selection Process

The entire selection process has been divided into four phases. It may be please be noted that the decision of the management will be final, at each stage of the selection process, no queries in this regard will be entertained. If the information provided by a candidate is either incomplete or false, the application will not be proceed further, and the Endowment will not entertain any queries in this regard.
- Phase 1 – ends on 7th March 2025, which is the final date of submission of the applications
- Phase 2 – Aptitude test
- Phase 3 –Interview with Subject Expert
- Phase 4 – Final Selection
