Application Invited for Programme Coordinator for a Project on Strengthening Child Protection Services in Kerala

Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kalamassery, invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Programme Coordinator for a project on “Strengthening Child Protection Services in Kerala” implementing in collaboration with Mission Vatsalya, Department of Women and Child Development, Govt. of Kerala.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Child Development, management studies, development studies, or a related field from a recognized university.
  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience in the development sector is required.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Malayalam are required.
  • This is a contractual position for the duration of the project, initially for a period of 7 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements. The salary for the position is attractive and will be based on the previous salary drawn.
  • The Project Coordinator will be based in Kochi, Kerala, with travel to other locations as required by the project.

Responsibilities for the Programme Coordinator:

Coordinating capacity-building programs:

  • Organize and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and capacity-building initiatives for various stakeholders involved in child protection services.
  • Develop training modules, materials, and resources on relevant topics related to child protection.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and resource persons to deliver high-quality training programs.

Conducting reviews and workshops:

  • Plan and execute periodic reviews of the project’s progress, achievements, and challenges.
  • Facilitate workshops to gather inputs, feedback, and recommendations from stakeholders.
  • Analyze data and information gathered from reviews and workshops to inform project strategies and activities.

Training assessments:

  • Develop and implement assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Collect and analyze data from training participants to measure the impact and outcomes of capacity-building initiatives.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports highlighting key findings, recommendations, and areas for improvement.
  • follow up assessments and support for quality improvement

Reporting and documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, training sessions, workshops, and reviews.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Document best practices, case studies, and success stories related to the project.

Coordination with stakeholders:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with all stakeholders, including Mission Vatsalya, government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives and activities.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and discussions to gather inputs and address concerns.

Planning and execution of project activities:

  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets in consultation with stakeholders.
  • Oversee the implementation of project activities, ensuring adherence to plans, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges that may arise during project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, adjust plans as needed, and ensure timely completion of activities.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the project leadership or as required for the successful implementation of the project.
