About Online Interview

Applications are invited to attend Online interviews for post of Senior Research Fellows and Field Worker/Semi Skilled Helper post in externally funded project purely on contractual basis (as indicated below) till 31st March 2023 which will be held at Division of Genetics, ICAR- Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi 110 012 on online mode

Note: Due to prevailing COVID-19 crisis, the eligible candidates interested in online interview are requested to send their application in the enclosed proforma along with the self-attested scanned copies of the original documents in single PDF file to the email address geneticsbmgf@gmail.com on or before 29/08/2022 05.00 pm in the prescribed format only. After screening the applications, the eligible candidates will be informed about the details of online or offline interview (Date and Time) by email. Original documents will be verified at the time of appointment. If any candidate is found to have submitted false claims at later stage, their candidature will be summarily rejected.

The details of the posts are as follows:

Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in ICAR Funded project entitled “CRP on Molecular Breeding (Chickpea Component)” One SRF @ Rs.31000/- + 24% HRA pm (As per ICAR memorandum F. No. Ag. Edn.6/27/2014- HRD Agri. Edn Dated 31.07.2019)

Essential: Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Seed Science/Plant Biotechnology/Life Sciences with specialization in plant sciences as evidenced by dissertation work/ Biotechnology with specialization in plant sciences with 4years bachelor’s degree. Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or Ph.D./ M.Tech in any of the above disciplines (As per ICAR memorandum F. No. Ag. Edn. 6/27/2014- HRD Agri. Edn Dated 31.07.2019)

Desirable:

  • The project involves movement to various parts of India where the experiments are being conducted, hence the incumbent should be able to travel independently to experiment sites.
  • Basically field experiments are involved including data collection, crossing and harvest and post-harvest operations which the incumbent needs to carry out in field
  • Experience in statistical techniques and computer skills as evidenced by thesis work or publication
