- Duration: Two years (extendable by one year based on performance)
Purpose: FAS invites applications for the position of Associate Research Fellow(entry-level) for a new research project titled “The Dynamics of Agricultural Innovation in North India” in collaboration with Monash University, Australia.
Tasks:
- Planning and executing various activities under the project including data collection, processing, analysing, and report preparation.
- Monitoring and reporting on the progress of various project activities.
- A systematic review of literature.
- Design and conduct qualitative interviews with various stakeholders.
- Design and conduct large-scale data collection activities for socio-economic and bio-physical variables pertaining to agricultural innovations in India.
- Contribute to publication and dissemination of research results.
- Liaising with project partners, collaborators, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Travel to different regions of India for project activities.
- Coordinating all project-related events.
Essential requirements:
- PhD in Agricultural Science, Agricultural Economics, or Development Economics with relevant research experience.
- Strong understanding of scientific and technological development in Indian agriculture.
- Hands-on experience in statistical tools.
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis.
- Excellent publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Experience in working with national and international research partners.
- Experience in handling/leading a small research team.
- Ability to critically assess the research design, analysis and findings.
- Willingness to travel extensively as required.
