About The Berchmans Award

St Berchmans College is committed towards recognizing and fostering excellence in the teaching community. To facilitate this noble ideal, the prestigious Berchmans Award was instituted by the Kuwait Chapter of the Alumni Association of St Berchmans College in the year 1998. The award includes a cash prize of Rs. 25,001/-, citation and memento.

  • Eligibility: Government or Aided Arts and Science college teachers in Kerala with substantial academic & research contributions and a minimum of fourteen years of service are eligible.
  • Selection Criteria: The applicants are required to complete the proforma with the supporting documents to authenticate their claims.
  • Applications duly filled in must reach the college on or before 15th December 2024

Selection Process

The completed application will be vetted by a screening committee and five nominees will be short- listed. Contenders will be comprehensively evaluated on the basis of Teaching Excellence, Academic Achievements & Campus and Community Involvement. A confidential report of the applicants will be collected from their respective Heads of the Institutions. An eminent jury will scrutinise and declare the Berchmans Awardee for the year 2024-25.
