Call For Articles: A KERALA HISTORY MUSEUM DIGITAL STORYTELLING PROGRAMME

JANAL, or window in Malayalam, is the Kerala Museum’s flagship programme for the creation of innovative, engaging, and experiential digital exhibitions that draw on historical, oral, intangible, and tangible archives of people and communities from Kerala. The objective of the project is to showcase diverse perspectives on the cultural, social, political and environmental histories of Kerala.

By engaging with various stakeholders – historians, scholars, local communities, and experts in related fields the project brings forth a plural and inclusive narrative that encompasses multiple viewpoints.

We present lesser-known stories and micro-histories, exploring various themes from Kerala’s history.

The JANAL web platform accessed via http://www.keralamuseum.org > JANAL, gives users an experience of Kerala’s intertwined historical narratives.

We invite you to be a part of JANAL Archives. Send in your valuable insights in the form of articles, photo essays, and materials to enhance the educational experience provided by the archive.

Send in an abstract of 150-200 words or a longer draft at the earliest to teena.antony@keralamuseum.org or avani@keralamuseum.org
