Introduction
In consonance with the decision taken by Wardha Committee, Jamia Millia Islamia is accredited to being a pioneer institution to translate the vision of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Zakir Husain pertaining to Basic Education in to reality. The erstwhile ‘Ustadon ka Madarsa’ now Faculty of Education reminds us of the historic journey of Education in India that was once championed by the forefathers of Jamia. This legacy will now be carried forward by NEP-2020 which also aims at promoting student centric, holistic and multi disciplinary education system. This would fulfill the vision of an equitable and vibrant knowledge society. Which will be achievable only through emphasizing optimal learning. For that teachers need to develop optimised learning environment to create learning opportunities for all student. Optimised learning environment helps students to develop skills for 21st century, prepare them for lifelong learning and making them socially aware and successful citizens.
The next issue of this Journal seeks to invite scholarly Articles / Research papers from Psychologists, Sociologists, social thinkers, educationists, school teachers, teacher educators, teachers of Higher Educational Institutions, policy makers, curriculum designers and research scholars.
Since, the theme is interdisciplinary in nature, this need to be looked at from multiple perspectives, covering the following themes:
- Reflections on the Idea of India
- Teacher as Nation Builder
- Constitutional values and curriculum
- Diversity and Inclusion
- Transforming Education Through Technology
- Any other related to the major theme
Word limit: Maximum 2500-3000 words (including abstract)

Guidelines for authors/ contributors
The papers should be submitted as per the guidelines provided. Authors are requested to take care of the following guidelines before submission of the research paper to this journal:
- Submit only original papers which have never been published or sent for publication to any other publisher.
- Use Times New Roman for the entire manuscript with specific font sizes for different parts and headings of the paper.
- Word Limit for the full paper: 2500 to 3000 words
- Title of the Paper: Font 14, Centre text and bold
- Abstract: Font 12, Italics, word limit 150 to 200 words
- Key words: 5 to 7
- All Headings with font size 13 in bold
- All sub-headings in font size 12 in bold
- Body text/running text in font 12 un-bold
- Conclusion/Summary: Font 12, Italics, 200 to 300 words
- References: APA format (Latest Version)
- Diagrams/graphs/figures: Properly placed and cited in the text with diagram title at the bottom of the diagram.
- Tables: Properly placed and cited in the text with table number and title at the top of the table.
- The factual information adopted from any of the published document must be cited with source. In addition, this citation must be referred in detail in the reference list.
- Name of the contributor(s), designation, institutional affiliation, mobile number, email-id, and title of the paper on a separate sheet.
- Copyright issues must be taken care of. The manuscript must be free from plagiarization. Authors will be required to submit a Certificate of Originality and Copyright Transfer Certificate to the publisher/editor(s) in case your paper is selected for publication in the Jamia Journal of Education.
