ICSSR invites research proposals from Indian researchers for Collaborative Empirical Research on Solar Energy and Sustainability

This Research Call of ICSSR focuses on conducting studies to improve the efficiency, affordability, and scalability of solar energy technologies and making them more accessible and practical for widespread use. The Call aims to evaluate and enhance the Solar Power policies and strategies of Bharat through evidence-based research to attain Sustainable Development Goals.

  • Duration of the Project: The duration of the project will be 10-12 months
  • Budget: The grant awarded under this Call will be of a value of upto Rs. 15 Lakh

Key Objectives of the Call

  • Assess the impact of solar energy in fulfilling SDG 7
  • Analyze the challenges faced in enhancing the use of solar energy
  • Investigate the role of community and investment in the successful adoption of solar power to meet energy needs of the nation in sync with Vision Viksit Bharat 2047
  • Develop methods to address difficulties and improve the efficiency of solar energy and its technology
  • Evaluate the socio-economic impact of solar energy on Indian households
  • Develop data implementation strategies and policy recommendations to achieve universal access to affordable, dependable, and sustainable energy sources by 2030
