Bharat Ko Janiye (Know India) Quiz is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, to engage members of the Indian diaspora and foreign nationals, particularly the youth, and strengthen their connection with India. This quiz sparks curiosity in participants, encouraging them to explore Indian heritage, art, culture, cuisine, history, people, and India’s remarkable growth story and contributions to the world.
About the Quiz Competition

- No Registration Fee or Entry Fees
- Duration: 30 Seconds for 30 questions
- Participants should be aged between 14 and 50 years, as on 11 December 2024.
- The top 30 scorers will win a two-week journey to explore incredible India, with expenses towards airfare and local hospitality to be covered by the Ministry
Prize and Rewards
The Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz offers a Grand Prize of a 2-week long trip to India, for 30 participants (15 in each category), with expenses towards airfare and local hospitality to be covered by the Ministry.
- e Certificates: All Participants completing the quiz will receive a digital “Certificate of Participation”. Participants scoring 25 and above will receive a digital “Certificate of Excellence”
- Leaders’ Board: Top 10 scorers of the week in each category will make it to the Leaders’ Board. The names of the Leaders’ Board winners will be published on relevant social media platforms.
- Felicitation by Indian Mission: 50 top scorers from a country will be felicitated by the respective Indian Embassy/ High Commission/ Consulate and will receive a Certificate of Achievement
- Refer and Win: Several participants referring the quiz to their friends will have a chance to be felicitated by the respective Indian Embassy/ High Commission/ Consulate
Registration Details
- Registration/Log-In: Registration/Log-In is mandatory for participation in the Bharat Ko Janiye (BKJ) quiz.
- The participants are required to register online at www.bkjquiz.com using a valid email address or through their social media accounts (Meta, Google or Apple). A One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the email address, which will allow the user to login to the quiz. Thereafter, for each login, a separate OTP will be sent.
- Registration will begin from 05 Nov 2024 and would remain open till the closure of the quiz.
- Eligibility: The quiz is open for two categories of participants:
- Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and
- Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) & Foreign Nationals.

- The participants must be in the age group of 14-50 years, as on 11 December 2024.
- Entry Fee: No entry fee for participation in the BKJ Quiz. Participants will not be asked to make any payments at any stage of the Quiz.
- Number of Attempts: No limitation on the number of attempts that a participant can make. However, a participant can take up to 5 attempts in a day. The attempt with the highest score will be considered for competing for the awards.
- The Quiz will be conducted ONLINE in ONE round only.
- Quiz Period: The Quiz will be launched on 11 November and will remain active for a period of a month, up to 11 December 2024.
- Number of Questions, Duration of a Quiz Attempt: A participant will have to answer 30 multiple choice questions.
- Each Question will have 4 options out of which only one is correct answer.
- There is no negative marking for this Quiz.
- There will be a mix of text-based and multimedia (image, audio, video) questions. For each text-based question, the participants will have up to 30 seconds to answer. The audio/video multimedia questions have to be answered in 40 seconds.
- Lifeline/Grace questions: The participants will have an option to seek replacement of up to 3 questions, without having any bearing on their final scores.
- Scores: Winners will be decided based on the score (number of correct answers, and time taken for an attempt) of a participant in the quiz. For more information on score calculation, in case of a tie, please refer to terms and conditions.
- Prizes: The Quiz offers a grand prize of winning a trip to India to 30 participants (15 in each category) and several exciting rewards to other participants.
- Mock Quiz: A mock quiz with a limited set of questions will be opened on 5 November 2024. However, the score of the mock quiz will not be considered for prizes.
