The overall purpose of the ToR is to develop a comprehensive Evidence Strategy 2021-2030 for UNICEF BCO in collaboration with the Research & Evaluation Specialist. The Digital Strategy Section (DSS) within the Division of Global Communication and Advocacy (DGCA) comprises Web Editorial, Social Media News and Campaigns, Digital Governance and Platforms teams working together to create compelling public-facing content and to provide digital services within the organization. Through multiple platforms and in multiple languages, DSS draws attention to the many facets of UNICEF’s work, encouraging public support, participation and action, as well as ensuring greater transparency and accountability. DSS is also responsible for the build, management and maintenance of global website properties, as well as providing support to Country and Regional (field) Offices to maximize their use of global web platforms in their communications activities. This role is instrumental in ensuring our large and globally distributed user base has access to web platforms, and is supported to use these platforms to publish high quality content that is critical to their communications work. Part of the Digital Platforms and Governance Team, our Creative Team tackles the front-end design for the global unicef.org ecosystem of websites by creating engaging user experiences, intuitive user interfaces and compelling editorial layouts that amplify UNICEF’s work for every child. DSS seeks to hire a part-time/on-call Digital Platform Producer to provide the quality production of website pages, and to provide support quality assurance and testing on platform features and upgrades, throughout the UNICEF.org digital ecosystem.
