The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes the creation of motivated, energized, and capable faculty. The capacity building of teachers at all levels has been one of the major thrust areas in the field of
higher education. Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching Centers (PMMMNMTT) contribute immensely towards training faculty of Higher Education Institutions to provide more effective teaching. The Mission envisages capacity-building training for the faculty and staff across higher educational institutions, in the light of NEP 2020, within three years through multiple training centers.
Since 2018, through the Teaching Learning Centre and now through Malaviya Mission Training Centre, we, at SNDT Women’s University, have been contributing to this initiative of faculty training. Learner-centered
education and 21st Century Skill development have remained our focus. NEP-2020 Orientation and Sensitization programmes aim at making every higher education faculty aware and sensitized about the key principles of NEP-2020 enabling HE faculty to become change agents in the implementation of the NEP-2020 policy.
