Concept and Background

India and Europe are multi-cultural civilizations that are rich repositories of memories, of refinement, of values that are mature and distilled. Both are playing and are required to play a strategic role in today’s rapidly changing and globalizing world. India and Europe are bearers of foundational ideals of special relevance to the contemporary and modern world, ideas which necessitate a combination of the ancient and the contemporary, of the old and the new, of the past and the future. The socio-political and economic institutions, diversity and processes of change in the European Union and India are shaping trends in the contemporary world. The current challenges in the global scenario are the focus of deliberations in this conference. This conference would provide a platform to researchers, authors, academicians, and professionals to discuss and exchange ideas related to themes of the conference. Papers related with the following themes, and associated subthemes, within the broad framework of the title of the conference are invited from academic professionals, scholars, industry practitioners and researchers.

Guidelines for Paper Submission:

Contributors must send their full papers not exceeding 6000 words (including bibliography) in MS Word (Word 2007 and above) format with single line spacing, Times New Roman font and font size 12 on a single side paper. The cover page should consist of only the title of the article, names, official addresses, e-mail IDs, phone/fax numbers of the authors, and acknowledgements (if any). Submission of full paper does not ensure the acceptance of paper for the conference; depending upon conformity with the theme/sub themes, etc. the selection of papers would be finalized. Broader formatting guidelines would be shared later after paper selection/acceptance. The author also needs to send the certificate of originality and consent.

Full papers must be submitted through e-mail at yrcsubmissionsjnulib@gmail.com.

All the papers will be blind reviewed by a committee of experts with respect to their quality, originality, and relevance. Selected papers recommended by the expert committee will be published in the e-proceedings provided at least one of the authors will register and present the paper. All rights of publication of papers presented in the conference shall rest with the conference organizers.

Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur: Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, is a Central University of India, located in Bilaspur C.G. State, established under Central Universities Act 2009, No. 25 of 2009. Formerly called Guru Ghasidas University (GGU), established by an Act of the State Legislative Assembly, was formally inaugurated on June 16, 1983. Situated in a socially and economically challenged area, the university is appropriately named to honor the great Satnami Saint Guru Ghasidas (born in 17th century), who championed the cause of the downtrodden and waged a relentless struggle against all forms of social evils and injustice prevailing in the society. The University is a residential cum affiliating institution, having its jurisdiction spread over Bilaspur Revenue Division of the state of Chhattisgarh

About Jean Monnet module : Jean Monnet module titled “Institutions, Diversity and Change in the European Union” under Erasmus+ Programme deals with institutions, structures and processes that have shaped the nature and structure of contemporary Europe Union through cases and studies that focus primarily on issues related to Europe and are significant for India. Both Europe and India are pluralistic global communities that share a lot –antiquity, traditions, histories, past, cultures, plurality and cultural diversity, both are democracies committed to human rights, independent judiciary, and free press.
