With a GDP of US$ 3.7 trillion, India currently has the fifth-largest economy in the world. With more reforms, however, it is predicted to rise to the third rank in the next three years. The nation’s numerous comprehensive breakthroughs in a variety of fields, including as technology, education and skill development, healthcare, and education, among many others, highlight its amazing growth narrative. India is predicted by the IMF to be a “star performer” and contribute more than 16% to global growth in 2023ā2024, with a growth rate of 7.6%. The nation’s ability to bounce back from international economic downturns and a difficult external environment has been acknowledged and valued on a worldwide scale.
Moving forward, a strategic plan that tackles major obstacles and makes the most of India’s enormous potential will be crucial to the country’s economic transformation into a developed powerhouse. The idea of equitable growth and all-around economic development propelled by innovation, infrastructural investments, sustainable initiatives, and a persistent emphasis on reforms is fundamental to this approach. Viksit Bharat, literally translated, is “Developed India.” Viksit Bharat 2047 is the government’s plan to turn the nation into a developed state by the year 2047, when it celebrates its 100th anniversary of independence. The four pillars of Viksit Bharat are Kisan (Farmers), Mahila (Women), Garib (Poor), andYuva (Youth).
The goal of Viksit Bharat is to create a wealthy nation where people from all regions may realize their full potential while living in harmony with the environment and contemporary infrastructure. The states must implement numerous changes that promote development and progress in order to fulfill the goals of Viksit Bharat. By 2047, when India would have celebrated its 100 years of independence, the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047 is to make the country a developed one. With the goal of making India a developed country by 2047, this vision takes into account several aspects of development, including social advancement, environmental sustainability, economic growth, and good governance.
- Economic Growth: All people of a Viksit Bharat should be able to enjoy opportunities and a good standard of living thanks to a robust and resilient economy.
- Environmental Sustainability: To protect India’s natural resources and biodiversity, a Viksit Bharat should have a clean, green environment.
- Social Progress: Every citizen of a Viksit Bharat should live in a dignified and peaceful society that upholds their rights. India’s rich cultural legacy should be respected and celebrated by society on the basis of equity, diversity, and fairness.
- Good Governance: A Viksit Bharat ought to have flexible laws, responsible officials, and sensible policies. A good governance system is one that allows for the collection of reliable data, the analysis of areas in need of improvement, and the quick action of improving the nation through collaboration, introspection, empathy, and consultation.
