The institutes who have copyrights of their documents find necessary to manage
them by designing digital repository. Since, these institutions have good number
of articles published at different platforms; it becomes necessary and compulsory
to organize them in proper way in order to provide access to academic community
for better research output.

Out of many available open source software for design & development of digital library, DSpace is the ideal software for this purpose as it is free, easy to install & customize as per library requirements or organizations. The other features enables
access to all types of digital content including image, audio/visuals, etc. It has wider popularity due to its strong community and forum support.
