NFLQ 2025 is an exciting journey with three engaging rounds that challenge your financial knowledge and problem-solving skills. It all starts with an online quiz, followed by action-packed regional rounds, and culminates in the grand national finals. Each step brings you closer to the ultimate goal—becoming the National Financial Literacy Champion.
Registration Process
- The National Financial Literacy Quiz 2025 is open to all candidates who have completed their 10+2 / higher secondary level of education and are currently enrolled under any course / stream in any College/University/Institution operating from India. Only recognised College, University and Institutions shall be eligible to participate.
- The competition is open to both Undergraduate and Post-graduate students under separate category.
- The age of the participants should not exceed 25 years as of December01, 2024.
- Students may register themselves directly or through their college representatives.
- Students enrolled in part-time / distance education programs are NOT eligible.
- Regional and National Winners of NFLQ 2024, National Financial Literacy Quiz 2022, other similar events conducted by NISM are NOTeligible to participate in this quiz competition.
- Students enrolled in long-term programs at NISM (National Institute of Securities Markets) are also not eligible to participate in this quiz contest
How to Register ?
Students may register for NFLQ 2025 through following ways:
- Direct Registration: Students may directly register through the NFLQ 2025 portal or get registered through their respective colleges. College registration is mandatory prior to student registration. Therefore, in case your college is not registered, please request your faculty / HOD / Principal / Director to register your college first.
- Through College: Student may provide their details in bulk to their college representatives (Faculty Co-ordinator / HOD / Principal / Director) and the college may enroll such students in bulk.
- Through NISM Resource Persons: Students may also get registered through NISM Resource Persons authorized for the same.

How to Participate in Round 1: Online Quiz?
- There is no participation fee to participate in NFLQ 2025.
- Post registration, students need to attempt the online quiz within before the deadline
- The Online Quiz consists of 40 multiple choice questions to be attempted in 45 minutes. There is no negative marking.
- Quiz is separate for Under-Graduate and Post Graduate students
- The above guidelines are applicable for Round – I only.
- Each participant can only participate once, and multiple entries from the same person will be discarded.

- Participants must adhere to the quiz’s integrity and ethical standards; violations may lead to disqualification.
Registration
- Registration and participation in NFLQ 2025 is free of charge
- College Registrations1. Colleges must register on the official NFLQ portal (nflq.nism.ac.in) to facilitate student participation.2. Upon registration, colleges will receive login credentials for managing student registrations.
- Student Registration1. Registered colleges can either upload student details or allow students to register directly under their institution’s name.2. Students will need to provide details like name, gender, email, mobile number and date of birth during registration.
- Resource Persons Registration1. Resource persons assisting colleges with registrations must register through the dedicated NFLQ portal.
Quiz Schedule
- Round 1: Online Screening Round (December 01, 2024 â April 30, 2025)
- Regional Rounds: Conducted in June-October 2025, tentatively, at six regional hubs (Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Indore, Delhi, Guwahati).
- National Finals: Semi-Finals and Grand Finale at NISM Campus in November 2025.
Quiz Format
- Round 1 (Online Screening)1. 40 MCQs in 45 minutes.2. Questions carry 1, 3, or 4 marks each.3. There is no negative marking.
- Regional and National Rounds1. Includes multiple rounds on stage.
Tie Breaker Rules
In case of a tie in scores:
- Higher-weighted questions answered correctly will be considered first.
- Time taken to answer will be the second criterion (applicable only in case of online quiz).
- If still unresolved, a tie-breaker question will be asked.
Technical Requirements for Round 1
- Reliable internet connection and a device capable of accessing the quiz portal such as a smartphone, laptop, desktop or tablet.
- Supported browsers: Latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari.
- Participants are responsible for ensuring technical readiness; no reattempts will be allowed.
Selection for Subsequent Rounds
- From Round 1 to Regional Rounds1. Top 50 teams (UG and PG) from each region will qualify based on a combined score computed on the basis of average student score and number of participants from the particular college.2. The respective colleges will nominate a team of two students for subsequent rounds.
- From Regional Rounds to National Rounds1. Top 10 teams (UG and PG) from the six regions will advance to the National Rounds.
- In case of teams qualifying through the online quiz, expenses related to travel and stay for the subsequent rounds will be borne by NISM subject to internally fixed limits.
Other Specifications
- Teams are strictly prohibited from using any unfair means during any stage of the quiz. Violation of this rule will lead to immediate disqualification.
- Participation in NFLQ 2025 is completely free. Any communication requesting a participation fee in cash or kind is fraudulent and should be reported to the organizers immediately.
- By registering for the quiz, students consent to receiving updates and communications related to the quiz on their registered contact details. Additionally, participants advancing to subsequent rounds agree to being recorded or photographed for promotional purposes, with all materials being used solely by NISM and its organizing partners.
- NISM reserves the right to decline any team’s participation without prior notice or modify the rules and other terms as deemed necessary. All decisions made by the organizers in this regard will be final and binding.
- Teams qualifying for subsequent rounds will undergo verification of the information provided during registration. Any discrepancies found will result in disqualification.
- Participants are advised to carefully review the rules, FAQs, and all updates related to the quiz, which will be regularly posted on the official NFLQ website.
- NISM reserves the right to modify the structure or cancel the competition at any stage without providing a reason. All official updates and announcements will be available on the NFLQ website.
