The Kerala Police Association in collaboration with the Department of Sociology, University of Kerala, Kariavattom Campus organizing a National Seminar on “Police in a Welfare State” as part of preparing the vision document. Police as an organization and policemen as individuals have been experiencing the dilemma of preserving liberty and human rights of the individual on one hand and enforcing laws which aim at preservation of society from the operations of the anti-social elements on the other. This seminar will explore the responsibility between police and citizens in maintaining safety and solving community issues together. Work-life balance of those individuals in Police department is also discussed in the seminar.
