About the Session
- When: 2nd to 13th December 2024
- Free Registration
- Maximum 30 (10 local, 10 from Karnataka State other than local and 10 from outside of the Karnataka state) participants from social science disciplines will be selected.
Eligibility Criteria: In-service young faculty members of higher education institutions preferably lecturers/ assistant professors in social science disciplines. Preference will be given to first time attendees for such programme.

Hard copy of the registration form and other documents should be produced on the first day of CBP
Accommodation and Travel Allowance
- Accommodation will be provided on sharing basis to the outstation participants only.
- Breakfast, lunch, dinner and refreshments will be served to all the participants.
- Travel allowance will be reimbursed as per the ICSSR guidelines and subject to the production of original tickets by the shortest distances for 3A class.
- No local conveyance will be reimbursed
Note
- The selection of the participants will be done as per the ICSSR guidelines.
- No any leave is permissible during the course duration.
- Selected participants must bring their personal laptops.
Learning Outcomes of the CBP:
On successful completion of the Capacity Building Programme(CBP), the participants will be able to –
- Understand the theoretical and philosophical underpinnings of research.
- Realize role of literature review in planning and conducting research activities.
- Prepare research proposal based on identified societal needs.
- Apply for research projects and funding to various national and international agencies.
- Endorse ethics of research while conducting research activities.
- evaluate the appropriateness of data collection methods in the line of research objectives and research methods.
- Construct qualitative as well as quantitative tools for data collection.
- utilize software for analyzing qualitative and quantitative data.
- Interpret research findings accurately and critically, drawing conclusions based on empirical evidence and theoretical frameworks.
- Learn academic writing with different writing styles
