Drawing upon the insights of both Science and Religion in the service of attaining Sustainability Goals is the basic objective of this volume. Science is the intellectual and practical activity that encompasses the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment. This study may lead to finding the causes and effects of nature through experiments which support a real, rational conclusion through evidence. The conclusions reached may not be final and must remain open to the light of new evidence, which may compound or disprove the theory. This is true of all sciences. This book is an honest approach to bring out the coordination between Religion and Science and how this might help in Sustainability. This book would possibly be among the first to emphasize Yoga and Meditation in relation to Sustainability, leading to wellness and a better life. Ethics and Spirituality can be approached scientifically and this could be further enhance humanity’s ability to attain self-happiness and also give happiness to others. But actions can either bind one to this world or liberate one from it. According to the Bhagavad Gītā, acting for the pleasure of the Supreme, without selfish motives, can be liberate one from karma. In this context, we are inviting researchers, practitioners, and academicians who are extensively working in this field to share their experiences, studies, and analyses on sub themes such as those listed below (but not limited to these):
