Indian Council of Social Science Research announces the National Essay Writing Competition for Young Scholars on the topic “Shaheed Baji Rout: Remembering Unsung Heroes and Young Revolutionaries of India”, commemorating the Birth Centenary of Shaheed Baji Rout.
The competition provides an opportunity for young scholars to explore and critically engage with the life, contributions, courage and legacy of unsung heroes and young revolutionaries of India’s freedom movement. The competition encourages research-oriented historical exploration, critical study and greater awareness of lesser-known voices in India’s freedom struggle.
The top 25 entries from each category will be compiled and published in book form by ICSSR.
