About the Submissions

iCreate invites researchers, innovators, and startups to explore non-conventional methods and design an efficient waste management system for spent hydrochloric acid (HCl) generated from industrial processes.
The proposed solution should consider the specific characteristics of the spent HCl waste, the scale of waste generation, the available technologies and infrastructure, and aim to achieve the following objectives:
- Minimise environmental impact
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Enable resource recovery and reuse
- Ensure safety and risk management
- Achieve cost-effectiveness
- Be implementable across industries
The most promising solutions will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading industrial and government partners, and get access to state-of-the-art research facilities, to further develop, validate and implement their ideas. They could also be offered financial grants, incubation support, and potential investment opportunities.
