Participants will attend expert-led online lectures delivered in English by international specialists, covering key topics in cultural heritage management, conservation, documentation, governance, and best practices. All lectures will be recorded and made available on the DIEM digital platform with subtitles in partner languages.
Participants will take part in interactive online sessions focused on the development of Management and Communication Plans for cultural heritage pilot sites. Organizer: Department of Pure Mathematics, University of Calcutta In collaboration with The undergraduate Board of Studies in Mathematics, University of Calcutta
Who will participate? Participation is open to undergraduate Mathematics teachers from affiliated colleges of University of Calcutta.
The objective of this Six-day workshop is to orient teachers to the perspective and rationale behind the newly introduced undergraduate mathematics courses offered in Semester VII. As these courses will be taught across a number of affiliated undergraduate colleges of the university, the workshop seeks to promote a common understanding of their scope, objectives, and expected learning outcomes, thereby helping to maintain uniformity in curriculum delivery and academic standards across institutions.
The workshop aims to provide an overview of the structure, scope, and academic rationale of the newly introduced courses rather than a detailed treatment of their entire syllabi. Particular emphasis will be given on discussing the underlying motivation of the courses, their intended learning outcomes, and effective pedagogical approaches for their classroom delivery. Through lectures and discussions, participants will gain insights into the key concepts, recommended teaching methodologies, and assessment perspectives associated with the courses. The workshop will thus serve as a platform for sharing ideas and developing a coherent approach to teaching the new curriculum across colleges.
