Funded PhD Positions in Advanced Robotics and Related Areas- Both Domestic students & International students

We are pleased to announce multiple exciting PhD positions in robotics and related areas at Humanitarian Technology (HuT) Labs (https://www.amrita.edu/center/humanitarian-technology-hut-labs/), Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapuri campus, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. HuT Labs is an engineering research lab using robotics for social cause. The dedicated research lab, HuT (Humanitarian Technology) Labs is mainly focusing on Robotics, Health Care, Human Aided Devices, and Embedded Systems and is headed by Prof. Rajesh Kannan Megalingam of department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Details of the Positions

Successful PhD candidates will have opportunity to conduct research on topics related to the following themes:

  • Robotics – Human robot interaction, robot learning, robot control, computer and robotic vision, machine learning, industrial robotics, transmission line robotics medical robotics, etc.
  • Intelligent transport system – Advanced driver assistance systems, autonomous path planning and tracking, collision avoidance, Testing and hardware in loop evaluation, energy management systems, vehicle to grid and vehicle to home technology, etc.
  • Coconut research – Precision agriculture, climate variations and its effects, industrial automation, market analysis, AI in agriculture, robot systems, machine learning and deep learning, etc.

As a PhD student at HuT Labs, you will have the opportunity to work with world-leading researchers of various leading universities in the world.

Qualification

M.Tech/ME/MS in the relevant fields (in the departments of Electronics and Communication Engineering /Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ Computer Science Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering)
