Eligibility Criteria:

  • Students pursuing/ completed their Undergraduate or Masters degree in Science /Engineering.
  • Students pursuing PhD degree in Science/Engineering.

Participants are expected to have double doses of vaccination for COVID-19 and should adhere to COVID appropriate guidelines.

The selection process may consider the academic credentials/ field of research interest of the candidate.

The workshop will include expert lectures and hands-on training to help participants gain insights into new concepts and techniques in the field. What’s more, registration for the workshop is free, and participants will also receive free boarding and lodging during the event. Additionally, travel support will be provided to all the selected participants.

This workshop will be a great opportunity for students to collaborate with experts in the field and gain practical experience in wastewater treatment. Aim of the workshop:

This workshop will be an exploration of the world of nanotechnology towards water purification techniques for faculties, research scholars and students. The participants will be equipped with useful knowledge of the design, processing, properties, and application potentials of the broad range of nanomaterials and nanocomposites emphasized through hands-on lab sessions which can be utilised for treatment of polluted water to be converted into potable drinking water. Participants will learn about the various synthetic routes for preparing an array of nanoscale materials and their functional composites along with advance water treatment techniques such as photocatalysis and adsorption removal of heavy metals from contaminated water samples. The lectures and hands-on sessions will be given by renowned experts and the Faculty of PDEU active in the nanotechnology research area. Each module is focused on a different subfield of nanotechnology.

Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) earlier Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) is located in Gandhinagar, which is the capital city of Gujarat and located 23 km North from Ahmedabad. PDEU is recognized by UGC under section 2(7) and accredited by NAAC A++ Grade.
