The KARM Fellowship is a unique and heart-felt initiative committed to deepening the positive impact of university education on women from under-served backgrounds. We aspire to foster a community of financially independent, compassionate, driven women who are committed to becoming enablers and change leaders in their communities. We support bright young women from low-income homes, enrolled in Delhi University, through one-on-one mentoring, career building, and learning programs.

  • Position: KARM Fellowship Program Associate
  • Location: Gurgaon (WFO)
  • Compensation: Remuneration will be competitive with Indian philanthropy pay-scales and will depend upon the candidates’ experience levels.

Position Summary:

  • The KARM Fellowship Program Associate will be the first point of contact for the Fellows, support the delivery of the first-year & second-year communication/critical thinking curriculum, execute social media strategy and lead program operations.
  • She will be a full-time employee of the KARM Trust, reporting to the Senior Program Manager.

Required Qualities:

Innovation & Initiative: The KARM Fellowship is a diverse but compact team in start-up mode. We take ownership of our deliverables by observing carefully, when we spot gaps or opportunities we react fast to support current Fellows/stakeholders, and then take ownership of designing and implementing processes based on our learnings.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Fellow Management:

  • The Program Associate will be the first point of contact for Fellows for all operations related communication related to finance, monthly calendars, attendance & absence.
  • She is responsible for ensuring timely communication of schedules and instructions to all batches.
  • She will troubleshoot Fellow queries and coordinate with appropriate team member to resolve any issues.
  • All Team Members are also expected to build connects with and observe Fellows, in order to provide appropriate learning support as and when needed.

Skilling, Mentoring & Community Service:

  • Design and facilitate sessions on tech skills & cohort-building. Facilitate online interventions on communication & critical thinking
  • Execute the Mentoring & Community Service interventions

Operations & Finance:

  • Ensure that workshops, admissions process, and other interventions/events run smoothly by managing logistics, vendors and external communication
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly reimbursement for all Fellows, co-ordinate operations expenses disbursal and tracking with Finance Team.
  • Ensure the office remains neatly organized and equipped with relevant supplies such as stationary, merchandise etc.
  • Create and maintain all Fellow facing folders & files on Google Drive, Create and maintain accurate records of Fellow details and policy documents on SharePoint

Social Media & Content:

  • Use Canva to create relevant content as per program needs (social media posts, learning materials, newsletters, reports, posters, videos etc.)
  • Ensure that KARM’s social media channels remain active by posting on schedule and responding to comments, mentions or queries

Qualifications:

  • A graduate in any discipline
  • 2-3 years exposure to Education and Development sectors

Required Skills:

  • High level of written and spoken English
  • High level of comfort with IT tools used for collaboration, documentation, and communication – G-Suite (Calendar, Sheets, Forms)
  • Proficient in use of Canva to create diverse materials – understanding of Instagram & LinkedIn best practices
  • Basic lesson planning skills and prior facilitation experience
  • Good to have: Inter-disciplinary education or work exposure
