National Social Science Documentation Centre (NASSDOC) under the aegis of Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Education is in the process of recruitment of apprentices for one year training for the year 2023-24.
About the Recruitment

- Candidates are required to apply online and upload recent passport size photograph (jpeg/jpg format), MLIS Marksheet, MLIS Degree and Matric Certificate (mentioning the date of birth).
- Not exceeding 28 years from the date of advertisement in Employment News. Age relaxation for SC/ST/PH/OBC categories as per govt. norms.
- Last date of submitting applications: 21 days from the date of advertisement in the Employment News (i.e. 22nd December, 2023)
- Eligible Candidates will be called for a written test consist of multiple choice questions in Library and Information Science and Computer Skills.
- Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training/Job in any institute/organization are not eligible to apply.
- The Candidates who have passed the degree or M.Lib.Sc. before 2021 are not eligible only those candidates are eligible to apply who have passed the degree of M.Lib.Sc. in the year 2021 or later.
- It may be explicitly understood that subsequent to the training period, NASSDOC shall not offer any employment in the organization.
- Only Unemployed SC and ST Category candidates will be reimbursed 2nd class sleeper rail fare/bus fare on production of the original tickets. They must also submit an undertaking regarding their unemployment.

Terms & conditions for selection of Apprentices:
- The period of training will be 12 months commencing from execution of the contract of joining.
- Administration, ICSSR reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of positions for apprenticeship training.
- Canvassing or personal follow-up with the intention of influencing the process of selection of apprentice by and on behalf of any candidates shall lead to immediate cancellation of candidature.
- In case of any dispute, the legal jurisdiction shall be that of the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi.
- The apprentices will not be provided any quarters/hostel accommodations/transport by this establishment during the training period.
