Centre for Child Rights invites applications for a Legal Fellowship programme of minimum 8 months, extendable to 12 months. The Legal Fellowship programme is a pilot programme initiated to encourage ‘legal professionals’ to work as the champions for the cause of children and demonstrate effective working of lawyers (including the Legal Aid Panel Lawyers) with a child rights perspective at the trial court level. The aim is to improve children’s access to justice through quality legal representation and child-sensitive litigation and court practices. HAQ hopes to extend its Legal Fellowship programme beyond the period of 8-12 months drawing upon the learning from the pilot phase.
About the Fellowship
- Duration of the Fellowship: 8 Months (extendable upto 12 months)
In the pilot phase, Legal Fellows are required for the following States and Districts:
- Jammu & Kashmir – Jammu and Srinagar Districts
- Madhya Pradesh – Jabalpur and Indore Districts
- Rajasthan – Jaipur and Jodhpur Districts
- Uttar Pradesh – Meerut and Prayagraj District
