Winter School in Biology is aimed at fostering active learning of fundamental concepts in modern biology with a research outlook. Winter School of Chemistry
The school of chemistry, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram intends to inculcate a scientific attitude and aptitude for research in young minds. The aims of this refresher and preparative winter school are to i) lay a strong foundation in the fundamental concepts through a quick recap, ii) strengthen understanding of advanced concepts and iii) develop problem solving capability in diverse areas of chemistry, which include organic, inorganic, physical, and theoretical chemistry. The students will be taught in an one-one interaction fashion by experts in the aforementioned areas of Chemistry. This program also intends to provide key inputs on different opportunities available to the students after their postgraduate program. A total number of sixty students (at the national level) will be selected based on their academic performances.
