We are looking to recruit trainee-interns in Delhi-NCR to work in counseling with us at the Bright Side Family Counseling Center. This long-term internship ranges between 12-24 months, in which all trainee- interns will be imparted skills as per their capacity, and by close mentoring. We hope to absorb a majority of interns in our own work. However, if someone wishes to work elsewhere or set up their own practice we
will be glad to assist, in the best way possible.
About the Internship
- This is a paid internship, payable @ Rs.5000-Rs.10000/month, by the trainee-intern
- This is a reducing contribution as someone makes progress acquiring skills and capacity
- Open to: Current and former postgraduates in relevant disciplines
- Time required – Eight-ten hours/ weekly with us and more for your own study/writing
- Group size: 10-12

The goal of this training-internship is to fill the skills and theoretical gap which young people enter the counseling profession with, having university degrees alone. Such degrees whether in Psychology, Social Work, teacher training, Sociology and other relevant human sciences often do not give a comprehensive
picture of the mental health landscape, nor scope for direct work with client populations.
Our interns will work in relevant settings from the second-third month onwards, depending upon their existing knowledge and having oriented towards the collaborative approaches we follow at the Bright Side Family Counseling Center.
Those interested and coming from other disciplinary backgrounds must be over 30 years and willing for rigorous theoretical and academic labors. We can make exceptions on age and other parameters on a case-by-case basis. In any case this is a theoretically rigorous opportunity for everyone who joins.
