Call for Applications: Post-Doctoral Fellow, CeNSE, IISc

The potential market size for Artificial Intelligence (AI) stands to be one of the largest in human history, estimated between USD 3.5 to 5.8 trillion. Capturing a substantial portion of this vast market could redefine the national economic landscape, serving as a key driver of sustained growth for the years ahead. Therefore, it’s crucial to leverage our nation’s expertise to achieve technological advancements with global impact. This project aligns strategically with this goal, focusing on developing one of the world’s best, energy-efficient accelerators for AI and Machine Learning (ML).

We’re looking for a post-doctoral fellow to help craft an on-chip neuromorphic accelerator using the state-of-the-art nanofabrication facilities at CeNSE. Our team has created a cutting-edge neuromorphic material platform [ref. 1-5] and aims to scale it to a wafer level through nanofabrication. The ultimate objective is to develop an optimized hardware for AI and ML, providing superior energy efficiency, computational speed, resolution, and space utilization compared to state-of-the-art computing systems.
