Registration fees include accommodation, food, and conference kit. Accommodation will be arranged in the University Guest House. Participants are requested to meet travel expenses from their own resources.
Abstracts are invited for presentation on original and unpublished research works related to both descriptive and theoretical aspects of the following sub-fields of linguistics and language study.

Submission Guidelines
Abstracts should not exceed 500 words (including examples and references, if any) and be mailed (in both .doc and .pdf formats) at 2023linguisticsconferencetu@gmail.com. Each participant can maximally submit one single-authored abstract and one co-authored abstract. In the case of a co-authored paper, each of the authors joining the conference in person has to pay the registration fees.

About the Department
The Department, which was part of the Dept of English of the University till March 2022, has been offering a 2-year masters and a PhD in Linguistics and Language Technology since 2012. The Department has expertise in Philosophy of Language, Phonetics, Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantics, Cognitive Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Field Linguistics, Historical Linguistics, Ethnolinguistics, Language Documentation, Lexicography, Natural Language Processing, Computational Linguistics and Language Typology. In close collaboration with the affiliated Centre for Endangered Languages of the University, the Department has simultaneously been conducting research in lesser-known and under-studied languages of the linguistically diverse Northeast region of the country.
