Sociology of Art, Craft, Culture and Folk Traditions of the Regions of India’ under the supervision of Prof. Maya Vinai (Principal Investigator) and Dr. Tony Sebastain (Co- Principal Investigator), Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus
About the Recruitment
- Title of the project: Ship-building in Folklore: Orality and Memory in Tottam Pattu of Marakkalathamma
- Duration of the project: 2 years
- Fellowship amount: Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA (as applicable according to ICSSR norms)
- Last Date of Application: 12th April
Eligibility requirements
- M.A. in History/ Folk Lore Studies/ Cultural Studies (with minimum 55% marks) with NET/ M.Phil./ Ph.D.
- The candidate should have an excellent knowledge in Malayalam (both written and spoken) as the project extensively involves a lot of engagement with colloquial Malayalam.
- A fairly good knowledge in Folklore and Intangible Heritage of India and a background to Kerala History is desirable.
- Age limit- as per ICSSR norms
