A multidisciplinary approach involves drawing appropriately from multiple disciplines to redefine problems outside of normal boundaries and reach solutions based on a new understanding of complex situations. It is not a novel concept and hence can trace it’s existence from major writings. If we analyze epics such as Iliad and Odyssey, Paradise Lost we can find the embodiment of disciplines like Psychology, Politics, Religion, Philosophy, Economy, Sociology, Gender aspects etc. Research in English literature is not confined only to studies based on themes, characters, linguistic studies but now it has started to expand its roots to other disciplines too. This seminar aims to debate and reflect the multidisciplinary trends in
English language and Literature, as well as the contemporary trends in multidisciplinary researches. When we read a book, story, poem, or a novel, we analyze it, interpret it and give our responses to the work of art. But many times it happens that our interpretations are only literal or superficial.

Well researched, original and unpublished articles on (but not restricted to) the following topics are invited for presentation
