Now we know: although the brain has yet to reveal most of its secrets, it is no longer the ‘terra incognita’ it used to be. Neuroscientists have discovered things that trigger its reward centres (motivation!) and they have devised tasks that bring people together. In this workshop, we will be looking at five practical activities which research has shown the right buttons in the brain – quite apart from their obvious benefit for language learning.
