Dr. Sunpreet Singh Arora is a Senior Research Scientist at Visa Research where he leads the identity and authentication research program. He is a co-inventor on over 35 patent applications and has published over 15 research articles.
He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Michigan State University, and B.Tech. (Hons.) in Computer Science and Engineering from IIIT-Delhi. His research has been featured in several national and international media outlets, such as Forbes, MIT Technology Review, ACM Multimedia, NASA Tech Briefs and BBC UK.
In 2017, he received the honorable Civilian Citation from the Lansing Police Department and Meritorious Service Award from the Michigan State University Police Department for providing assistance in unlocking murder victim’s smartphone using synthetically generated 2D and 3D fingerprints of the victim.

Session by Dr. Tanujit Chakraborty, Assistant Professor of Statistics Sorbonne University, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Dr. Tanujit Chakraborty is an Assistant Professor in Mathematics and Statistics in the Science Department at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. He is also an Associate Member of Sorbonne Centre for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI).
He has completed his B.Sc from West Bengal State University, Kolkata. He has completed his M.S. and Ph.D. from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. His research interest lies in Statistical Learning, Time Series Forecasting, and Statistical Analysis of Networks. His research publications include over 15 articles, published in international refereed journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Reliability.
He has also served as Statistical Consultants at Bajaj FinServ and ITC Limited and worked as Postdoctoral Fellow at IIIT Delhi and IIIT Bangalore. He had received the prestigious Mphasis research grant to work on Deep Learning. He taught as Visiting Professor at IIFT New Delhi and XIM University Bhubaneswar
