Higher Education sector witnesses tremendous changes and transitions and we are looking forward to a brighter future incorporating the needs and challenges of the times. Breakthrough modifications are taking place in teaching –learning paradigms transforming the teacher-learner responsibilities, initiatives and roles. The implementation of new Educational Policy -NEP 2020 and the introduction of Four Year Under Graduate Programmes are bringing in new responsibilities and transformations. It is important to have a thorough knowledge of the Central and State vision on NEP for a smooth transition towards the paradigm shift.
The seminar focuses on the changes being introduced in the higher education institutions at the national and state level. The resource persons have been experts in drafting the Central and State HE policies and through their expertise, they would familiarize the participants with the nuances, curriculum changes, the shift in pedagogical skills and the execution of Four Year Under Graduate Programmes.
Prof. K Ramachandran, (Senior Advisor, Unit of International Co operation, National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, New Delhi), Dr. Shakila Shamsu ( Former OSD, New Education Policy and Secretary to the Committee to Draft National Education Policy) , Prof. Shyam B Menon( Chairman of the Commission for Reforms in Higher Education, Kerala and former VC of Dr. B R Ambedkar University) and Dr. Sudheendran K (Research Officer on Special Duty, KSHEC) are the resource persons. These experts who contributed to the drafting of new education policy will help us in getting prepared for the changes, prospects and challenges connected with the new initiatives introduced including the introduction of Four Year UG Programmes.
