Over the centuries, translation has evolved into a bridge that facilitates cross-cultural communication and fosters global understanding. As a community that constantly engages with materials translated from various regional cultures, scholars and students of language are always intrigued by the various dimensions of this process. The field is further complicated by automated technologies and artificial intelligence, that ushered in a series of revolutionary changes in the process. This seminar endeavours to engage in an in-depth examination of the multifaceted dimensions of translation within the contemporary milieu, with a particular emphasis on its societal, cultural, linguistic, and economic ramifications. By delving into the challenges, and ethical considerations associated with translation, this seminar will provide a deeper understanding of the practise and politics involved in translation.

Invite original papers from academicians and research scholars. Abstracts of not more than 250 words, accompanied by a brief bio of the paper presenter should be mailed in Word format before 25/10/2023. Selected papers shall be notified by 28/10/2023. Full papers, of not more than 2500 words, should be submitted before 05/11/2023.

All submissions should be mailed to englishdeptgca@gmail.com with the subject as the “Submission of Abstract/Full Paper for National Seminar”.
