About the Institute
Haldia Institute of Technology (An autonomous institute of ICARE, Haldia, Approved by AICTE and Affiliated to MAKAUT, West Bengal) began its journey in the year 1996. It is the first private and accredited academic institute imparting technical education. The Institute is situated at Haldia an industrial hub in Eastern India. Since inception. About the Department
The Department of Civil Engineering was established in year 2005, with the vision to become a dynamic contributor to the community by ensuring excellence in academics and research in the field of Civil Engineering and to create an environment that will facilitate the growth of individuals in this field through innovative teaching, research with ith a strong tie-up with industry. The Department offers a 4-year B. Tech degree course in Civil Engineering and 2-Year M. Tech degree course in Structural Engineering. Students are motivated and trained up for GATE/GRE/TOEFL/CAT etc. by our faculty members. The department is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA)
