About the Competition
- Students of all recognized colleges/universities of India are eligible to participate in NICE 24

STAGE-1 (ONLINE ROUND)
- What: Four Online rounds viz N,I,C,E
- Who: All participants can attempt the online rounds
- Where: Nice.crypticsingh.com/android app-NICE
- When: One round every Sunday at 10:30 am
- How: 5 crossword clues with supplementary hints, per round.
- Winners: Each round will have two winners ‘NICE Round Winner’ and ‘NICE Lucky Winner’. State, District and Institutional winners will get ‘Certificate of Excellence’
STAGE-2 (ZONAL ROUND)
- What: 5 zonal rounds-, North, South, West, East and Northeast.
- Who: Top 50 scorers (zone-wise) in online round to qualify per zone. (Zones are determined based on the address of the colleges/institutions of participants.)
- When: Scheduled to be released post online round
- How: Participants can team up in pairs or compete solo. The contest consists of written preliminaries followed by on-stage round.
- Winner: Top 3 teams/individuals per zone will advance to the National Finals. Certificate of Excellence will be awarded to all participants.
NATIONAL ROUND (Venue: New Delhi)
- Day-1 (Quarter Final)
- Who: Three teams per zone & wild card entries
- How: Written Prelims + On-stage rounds
- Day-2 (Semi Final and Grand Finale)
- Who: Top six teams from quarter final
- How: Written Prelims + On-stage rounds
FORMAT OF THE CONTEST
- Eligible students may Register for the contest on www.crypticsingh.com Those students who had registered for NICE 22 and are still studying, don’t need to register afresh. While their username would remain the same, they would be allotted fresh password for 2023.
- Username and password will appear on the screen after successful registration and will be sent via email. The log-in credentials sent may be used for all the online rounds.
- Colleges/universities with over 100 registrants for NICE 24 till 30th June, 2024 will get a ‘NICE Roll of Honour’ certificate and 10 crossword books from the organisers.
- The institutions with the highest registrations, as on 30th June 2024, in each of the five zones will receive a ‘NICE Institution’ plaque, a certificate and 100 crossword books.
- At all stages of the contest and in all matters arising out of the same, the final word lies with the organisers Extra-C.
