Responsibilities:
- Independently manage the center’s day-to-day activities, ensuring smooth operations.
- Independently manage counseling sessions with women from marginalized communities.
- Conduct outreach activities and assessments to identify and engage with women from marginalized communities.
- Demonstrate success in growing and engaging community engagement with projects, including organizing community events and workshops.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based techniques to address mental health issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to ensure holistic support for displaced and migrant women.
- Maintain accurate and confidential session records, including progress notes and treatment plans
- Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in mental health counseling, particularly as they relate to displaced and marginalized populations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of culturally sensitive interventions to address the unique needs of women from marginalized communities.
- Collaborate with community organizations and service providers to enhance access to mental health resources and support for women from marginalized communities.
- Participate in outreach activities to raise awareness about mental health issues and available services among displaced and marginalized communities.
- Coordinate with the team regarding monitoring and evaluation needs of the project, ensuring timely and accurate data collection.
- Provide support and guidance to outreach workers, volunteers and interns involved in the project.
- Any other tasks arise from time to time to support the overall objectives of the mental health project.
Qualifications:
- Graduate or postgraduate in Social Work + counseling /Psychology /Social Sciences/Gender Studies or any other relevant fields.
- Fluency in spoken Hindi and spoken English. WrittenEnglish skills are mandatory.
- 1-2 years of experience in counseling and working with the displaced and migrant community.
- Proficiency in G-suite, Microsoft Office, and virtual meetings on platforms such as Zoom.
- Basic knowledge in monitoring and evaluations.
- Comfortable with local travel when it requires (travel within the state of Delhi)
- Prior knowledge and awareness regarding concepts of mental health, gender, inclusivity, etc.
- Self-driven and proactive approach towards problem-solving and achieving goals as the role is completely field-based.
