About MARI: MARI, a distinguished NGO with 35 years of dedicated service in Telangana, is embarking on an exciting journey to uplift the lives of the urban poor and marginalized communities in Hyderabad. We’re looking for dynamic individuals who are passionate about social work and community development to join our team.

About Project: We are launching a new project to empower 28 slum communities in Hyderabad for realization of their rights and entitlements. Our approach is comprehensive, focusing on empowering slum dwellers to access their entitlements, including social welfare, livelihoods, health, education, and basic amenities. With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by these communities, we are dedicated to bringing sustainable change through our interventions.

Project Director

  • Responsibility: Overseeing planning, implementation, and collaboration with stakeholders and government agencies.
  • Salary: INR 80,000 + Travel expenses
  • Eligibility: Post graduate degree, preferably in social work with 7 to 10 years experience preferably in community empowerment for claiming rights and entitlements.

Training Officer

  • Responsibility: Assessing training needs, developing modules, and conducting training sessions.
  • Salary: INR 60,000 + Fixed Travel Allowance
  • Eligibility: Post graduate degree, preferably in social work with 5 to 7 years experience preferably in planning and organizing training programmes related to community empowerment for claiming rights and entitlements.

MIS Officer

  • Responsibility: Developing data collection tools, ensuring data accuracy, and generating reports for review.
  • Salary: INR 50,000 +Travel Allowance:
  • Eligibility: Post graduate degree in relevant subjects with data management, data analysis, developing project specific MIS systems with 5 years experience preferably in development sector / NGOs

Cluster Coordinators (No. of positions 2)

  • Responsibility: Providing support in areas of social security, education, basic amenities, and livelihoods at Basti Sahaya Kendras.
  • Salary: INR 35,000 +Travel Allowance
  • Eligibility: Post graduate degree, preferably in social work with 3 to 5 years experience preferably in community empowerment for claiming rights and entitlements.

Cluster Facilitators (No. of Positions -4)

  • Responsibility: Supporting social security, education, and livelihoods at Basti Sahaya Kendras through meetings, surveys, etc.
  • Salary: INR 30,000 + Travel Allowance
  • Eligibility: Post graduate degree, preferably in social work with 3 to 5 years experience preferably in community empowerment for claiming rights and entitlements.

General Requirements for all positions:

  • Passion for community development and empowerment.
  • Ability to understand the government welfare schemes, social security, rights and entitlements for urban poor and working with government agencies to realise the same.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of slum dwellers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to write high quality project reports and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in project planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of donor regulations and compliance.
  • Adaptability to changing contexts and commitment to gender and protection considerations.
  • Strong computer skills in all MS Office applications.
  • Woman candidates would be given preference.
