Content Writer – IIT Gandhinagar
IIT Gandhinagar is seeking a content writer to join its Institutional Advancement Office. The responsibilities will include promoting the Institute’s initiatives, achievements, and impact across various platforms. The candidate should be able to communicate information to different target audiences, such as academics, industry professionals, government agencies, potential institute donors, and others. They should be able to work collaboratively with internal institute stakeholders to develop and disseminate necessary publicity materials and other relevant collaterals. The candidate should have excellent English writing & editorial skills, coordination skills, presentation skills, and experience working with a multi-dimensional team structure.
Detailed responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality content for various purposes, including but not limited to website content, blogs, social media posts, newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather information and create content communicating the institute’s key messages and achievements.
- Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and relevant topics to ensure informative and engaging content.
- Coordinate with graphic designers, photographers, and videographers to enhance content with visual elements.
Eligibility/Job requirements
The candidate must have a graduate or postgraduate degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a content writer, copywriter, or similar role.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and note-taking skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong research skills and the ability to translate complex information into clear and engaging content.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of the higher education sector and experience working in a similar role within a university
- or academic institution is preferred.

Project Associate/JRF Position for Phaco Software Development Project
Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGn) invites applications for a Project associate/JRF position in the area of Computer Science and Engineering.
- Project Title: Software and Technology enhancement for the Phaco machine.
- Description: Applications are invited for one Project associate/Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position for a sponsored project on Software and Technology enhancement for the Phaco machine software by BIOTECH Vision Care Private Ltd. The work involves development and upgradation of the software used for the phacoemulsification machine with additional feature developments.
- Available Position 1: Project Associate/JRF (1 positions)
- Mandatory Qualifications: BTech/BE/MCA/MSc in Computer Science and Engineering/Information Science/Information Technology. Or ME/MTech degree in Computer Science and Engineering or related areas.
Desired Qualifications:
- Expertise in VB.NET, databases, machine interface.
- Prior experience in basic software development, along with basic versioning system (Git & Github) knowledge and documentation tools.
- Implementation experience of the VB .NET project or embedded systems.
- Evidence of excellent C/C++/C#/Python coding skills.
- Expertise in basic web-development technologies such as HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JQuery along with advanced technologies like Flask, Nginx, ElasticSearch, etc.
Remuneration: JRF: Consolidated Rs. 35,000 (JRF) per month.
Duration of Position: The candidates will be offered a position until (6 month) October 31, 2024, which will be extended based on the satisfactory performance of the candidate and availability of funds.

Programme Associate IITGN
We are seeking a graphic designer to join the Research and Development (R&D) communications team as a Program Associate – I. Responsibilities include creating graphics for various purposes, including R&D publications, RnD social media series, web portals, blogs, infographics, and promotional materials.
Eligibility/Job Requirements
- The candidates must have a graduate or postgraduate degree in graphic design/Fine arts/Visual communication or a related field. Experience in science illustration would be an asset. OR Candidates must have a graduate or postgraduate degree in Science/Technology/Engineering fields with proven 1-2 years of work experience as a graphic designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity.
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), CorelDRAW, Blender, etc. related software.
- Candidates should be able to develop creative and innovative design concepts for a wide range of R&D projects, including but not limited to posters, brochures, infographics, digital advertisements, social media graphics, newsletters, annual magazines, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with researchers, faculty, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of new creative initiatives aimed at promoting and highlighting research excellence at IITGN.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Duration: Full-time for one year on a contract (with the possibility of extension based on performance)
Remuneration: INR 45,000 – 70,000 (Remuneration will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience)
