About Society for Communal Harmony

Established in 1990 on the initiative of historian Dr. Bishambhar Nath Pandey and theologian scholar Ali Mian Nadvi, Society for Communal
Harmony is dedicated to the cause of communal harmony. The Society aims at promoting unity and fraternity through justice, peace and
progress as enunciated in the preamble of the Constitution of India. It has taken constructive initiatives for inter-faith dialogues, awareness
building among students and youth, interventions in conflicts, and relief and justice for the victims of communal violence. Its activities include campaigns, conferences, publications, social media platform and networking.

Society for Communal Harmony is a body of concerned men and women from different walks of life in different parts of the nation. Bishambhar Nath Pandey, Ali Mian Nadvi, Somnath Chatterji, Sadiq Ali, Rabi Ray, Abdul Kareem Parekh, Kuldeep Nayar, Nirmala Deshpande,
Surendra Mohan, C. K. Jaffer Sharif, Lama Lobzang, S. N. Subbarao, Chandrabhal Tripathi, Saida Saidain Hameed, Jagmohan Singh, A. K.
Merchant, V. K. Tripathi and Abdul Mannan have been its pioneers since 1990. Currently, SCH (Society for Communal harmony) is engaged
in strengthening communal harmony and national unity and resisting politics of hate which was launched on 3 rd January,’22 and will continue till 2024. It invites all like-minded persons and platforms to contribute in this urgent endeavour based upon unity of purpose through unity in action.
